O’Donnell – in Woburn, April 8th, 2001, Florence M. (Haney), beloved wife of the late John J. O’Donnell. Devoted mother of Ellen M. Moore and her husband Richard of Tewksbury, Brian F. O’Donnell and his wife Carol of N. Andover, Paul F. O’Donnell and his wife Joanne of Winchester, Clare Infanger and her husband John, and Robert E. O’Donnell, all of Billerica, and the late John J. “Jay” O’Donnell. Sister of the late Frank and Charles Haney, and Evelyn Rice. Also survived by her daughter-in-law, Gail O’Donnell of Georgia, 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Wednesday, April 11th, at 8:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 9. Florence M. O’Donnell, a lifelong resident of Woburn, passed away here Sunday following a long illness. The wife of the late John J. O’Donnell, who died in 1988, she was eighty-seven years of age.

Born in Woburn, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (O’Brien) Haney. She was a 1930 graduate of Woburn High School.

Mrs. O’Donnell was employed at Woburn City Hall for a number of years as a clerk in the Assessor’s Office. She was active in St. Charles Parish, and served as a past president of the Catholic Women’s Club. In earlier years she was active, along with her husband John, with the Booster’s Club of the Woburn Boys Club.

In addition to her husband John, she was predeceased by her son, John J. “Jay” O’Donnell, who passed away several months ago, as well as two brothers, Frank and Charles Haney, and a sister, Evelyn Rice.

Surviving are two daughters, Ellen M. Moore and her husband Richard of Tewksbury, and Clare Infanger and her husband John of Billerica;

three sons, Brian F. O’Donnell and his wife Carol of N. Andover, Paul F. O’Donnell and his wife Joanne of Winchester, and Robert E. O’Donnell of Billerica; and her daughter-in-law, Gail O’Donnell of Georgia. She was also the cherished grandmother of twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Wednesday, April 11th, at 8:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 9. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.

Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
