Guzzo – in Woburn, February 20th, 2001, Anna (Torchia), beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Guzzo. Devoted mother of Rosario J. Guzzo and his wife Marie of Billerica, Joseph A. Guzzo and his wife Anne of Wilmington, and Anna N. Massa and her husband Robert of Natick. Sister of the late Thomas Torchia of W. Newton and Catherine Bubba of PA. Also survived by five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Friday, February 23rd, at 9:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. Calling hours Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in her memory to Hospice Care, Inc., 41 Montvale Ave., Stoneham, MA 02180.

Anna Guzzo, a longtime resident of Woburn, passed away here Tuesday afternoon, February 20th, at the age of ninety-five. She was the wife of the late Anthony J. Guzzo, who died in 1998.

Born in Winchester, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Nicoline (Rollo) Torchia. She moved to Italy with her family as a youngster and was raised in Venda di Maida. At the age of 25, she returned to the United States and settled in Woburn.

She married Anthony Guzzo in 1931 and devoted herself to raising her family. She was dedicated to her family and was actively involved in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She leaves three children and their spouses: Rosario J. Guzzo and his wife Marie of Billerica, Joseph A. Guzzo and his wife Anne of Wilmington, and Anna N. Massa and her husband Robert of Natick; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces ane nephews.

In addition to her husband Anthony, she was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Torchia of W. Newton, and a sister, Catherine Bubba of Pennsylvania.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Friday, February 23rd, at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. Interment will follow in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
