Devoted mother of Francis M. “Frank” O’Rourke, Jr. and his wife Carole of Burlington, Richard O’Rourke and his wife Mary Jane of Woburn, and Kevin D. O’Rourke of Woburn and his fiancee, Helen DeVincent. Sister of the late George McNamara and the late Mary Byrne. Also survived by 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Lillian M. O’Rourke of Woburn passed away at Saints Memorial Hospital in Lowell early Saturday, February 10th, following a lengthy illness. The wife of the late Francis M. “Frank” O’Rourke, who died in 1960, she was 89 years of age.

Born and raised in Winchester, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret McNamara. She graduated from Winchester High School with the class of 1927 and attended junior college. Prior to her marriage she worked as a bookkeeper for Winchester Laundry.

Following the death of her husband Frank in 1960, she took over management of the family oil business, O’Rourke Brothers, Inc. She was active in the Business and Professional Women’s Club of Woburn in earlier years.

Other than her involvement with her business, her life was focused on her family. She particularly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Frank, she was preceded in death by a brother, George McNamara, and a sister, Mary Byrne.

Surviving are three sons, Francis M. “Frank” O’Rourke and his wife Carole of Burlington, Richard O’Rourke and his wife Mary Jane of Woburn, and Kevin D. O’Rourke of Woburn and his fiancee, Helen DeVincent.

Also surviving are four grandchildren, Richard and Brian O’Rourke of Woburn and Martin and Sharon O’Rourke of Burlington, and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Tuesday, February 13th, at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.

Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
