OBITUARY:
Lucienne A. Lucy Bergeron, a long time resident of Woburn, passed away at the Woburn Nursing Center, Sunday morning, March 2nd. The beloved daughter of the late Alphege and Florida (Harvey) Bergeron, she was ninety-three years of age.
Born in Lowell, she moved to Woburn at a very early age with her family and attended Woburn Schools, graduating from Woburn High School, Class of 1939. Following High School, she began working in Boston for a short while. Then she secured a position at M/RAD, which was the company she remained with for over fifty years, retiring at age eighty.
All throughout the years Lucy dedicated herself to her family. Remaining at home, she cared for her parents as they aged and took over the responsibility for all the cooking and cleaning, which she did with tender loving care.
Throughout her lifetime she enjoyed travelling, bowling, playing golf, badminton, and any other outside activity. Lucy would be seen walking daily throughout her neighborhood in the Hammond Square Section of the city. When winter arrived and snow would fly, she was right out there, all bundled up with her shovel, doing the driveway, walkways, and a path to the oil tank, right up into her late eighties. Lucy also had a fondness for animals and she spent a great deal of time being kind to them and often feeding them.
The love she had for her family was paramount. Lucy so enjoyed spending time with her siblings and all of her nieces and nephews. Holidays, birthdays, weddings, graduations and stop-by visits were all those special times that were held closest to her heart.
Lucy was sadly predeceased by her parents, Alphege and Florida (Harvey) Bergeron and her brothers, Harvey J. Bergeron and Paul R. Bergeron.
She is lovingly survived by her brother, Roger A. Bergeron and his wife Pat of Woburn, her sister, Pauline MacDonald of CT, and by many loving nieces and nephews and their families.

Lucy was the nicest person I ever knew. She was kind and generous to everyone she met and animals had a special place in her heart. Any life that she touched, human or animal, became a better one after she touched it. She was always there for me, throughout my whole life and I will never forget. Lucy, you were my godmother and much, much more. You were just like a mother to me and I loved you just like one. You will always be in my heart and I will miss you dearly. I will never forget what you’ve done for me and I will always remember you. Goodbye Lucy Love Forever Your Godson Bruce
