OBITUARY:

Robert J. “Bob” Pettiglio passed away at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire Tuesday April 23rd, after being stricken at his summer home on Easter Sunday. The beloved son of Nancy Pettiglio of Woburn and the late Dominic J. Pettiglio, he was just fifty seven years old.

Born in Woburn, he was raised and educated here and was a graduate of Woburn High School, Class of 1973. After high school, Bob became involved in the landscaping business, eventually working his way up to owning his own landscaping company.

A genuinely very happy, cheery person he charmed all those he met with his warmth and sincerety. He enjoyed landscaping and there was no job out there that was too big or too small. Also being very handy he spent many happy hours working on his summer home in Twin Mountain, NH and entertaining family and friends there.

Mr. Pettiglio also enjoyed sharing his life with his girlfriend Penny. Together they would snowmobile throughout NH and take wonderful road trips through the White Mountains or following the coast line, by either motorcycle or car. They were very devoted to each other and enjoyed sharing their lives together for the last ten years.

The Pettigilio Family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses at Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital for their extraordinary care and to Penny for her love and support shown to Bob during his most critical hours.

Bob was predeceased by his father, Dominic J. Pettiglio.

He is lovingly survived by his mother, Nancy (Tomolillo) Pettiglio, his brother, Anthony Pettiglio and his wife Gail of Woburn, his nephew, Anthony Pettiglio, Jr., and his longtime girlfriend, Penny Naylor of NH.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Saturday, April 27th at 2 p.m. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 12 noon to 2 p.m., prior to the service. Interment is private.
