He attended the local community college for two years and then enlisted in the Army. He rose to the rank of Captain, flying Cessnas in World War II over Italy. Dear Anderson Family,
My cousin Brenda Frazier-Smith called me from Michigan with the sad message that Paul had passed.
My Father, Stan Harris and Paul had the best time golfing and sharing life together.
I always remember Paul and my Father setting off, in some old family car, to make a tee time with their buddies.
My Father loved traveling with Paul because his intellect, sense of humanity,
fairness and humor always made their time together a calming adventure worth repeating.
Although I now live in Western Ma., when I think of Melrose and the people back home I often reflect on how Paul made my Father’s last days easier.
Please accept our families
deepest regret on the passing of such a good man.
Peace and kindness, Joyce, Stan Jr., and Richard Harris.

Paul took such pride in his family & his Minnesota Iron Range roots.I’m sorry that travel commitments will prevent my making it to the funeral. Seana,
You and your family are in my thoughts as you mourn your loss and prepare to celebrate your dad’s life. Reading the story of his life and accomplishments brought back wonderful memories of a kind and thoughtful man who was devoted to his family and was a quiet, intelligent presence during our childhood.
Love,
Lyn
Dad, you were the kindest, most patient, funniest, wisest father. I am so glad you were with us for over 90 years. You always supported me in ways I needed and appreciated. You gave me faith, love and trust. You will always be near me. Seana Eileen
