Joan M. (Michalski) Butler – of Leominster, formerly of Woburn, died peacefully, March 28th at the age of 85. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert “Albie” E. Butler Jr.

Born and raised in Charlestown, Joan was a daughter of the late Katherine (Songailo) Michalski. While in High School, Joan fell in love with a young man named “Albie”. After he returned home from War, they married. In the early sixties they ventured north and came upon some newly built homes on the West Side of Woburn. It was there, that they made their home and brought two wonderful children into the world.

Joan dedicated and devoted her life to her family. She was their biggest supporter!  She enjoyed hosting cook outs in the backyard and cooking for family and friends. She was a lover of all animals, and especially loved her cat Twinkles.

Joan will be deeply missed but never forgotten by the ones she loved most.
