Obituary of Ann M. (LaPorta) Lupone

ANN M. (LAPORTA) LUPONE - of Woburn, February 9th at eighty-nine years of age. Beloved wife of the late John Lupone. Devoted mother of Peter C. Lupone, his companion Julia Marzouk of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, Joanne Byrne and her husband James of Woburn, David J. Lupone of Plymouth, and stepmother of John C. Lupone and his wife Robyn of San Diego, CA and Paul G. Lupone and his companion Callie Tzitzon of Woburn. Loving daughter of the late Charles and Concetta (Guadabasso) LaPorta and brother, the late Joseph LaPorta. Ann was also the dear sister-in-law of Americo "Mac" Lupone of Medford. Also lovingly survived by 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, cousins and nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the direction of Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 15th at 9:30 a.m. in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn. OBITUARY

Ann M. (LaPorta) Lupone, a longtime resident of Woburn , passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading, on Friday, February 9th. She was the beloved wife of 56 years to the late John Lupone. She was eighty-nine years of age.

Born in Boston, Ann was the loving daughter of the late Charles and Concetta (Guadabasso) Laporta. She was raised in Medford and a graduate of Medford High School class of 1945.

For many years, Ann worked as a waitress, a job she loved. Most notably at DePasquale’s in Medford, Polcari’s in Boston, Henderson House in Weston and North Eastern University where she helped with their various functions.

Ann was a true talented Italian cook, who enjoyed serving her family a nice warm meal. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling; however, her greatest joy just came from being surrounded by her family, whom were her world.

She was a devout catholic with a deep faith and a longtime communicant of the former St. Joseph’s Parish in Woburn, where she also served as a Eucharistic minister.

Ann was the devoted mother of Peter C. Lupone of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, Joanne Byrne and her husband James of Woburn, David J. Lupone of Plymouth, John C. Lupone and his wife Robyn of San Diego, CA and Paul G. Lupone and his companion Callie Tzitzon of Woburn. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, cousins and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother Joseph LaPorta.
