OBITUARY

Angela L. (Cestaro) Russo of Woburn, passed away at the Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on Tuesday, January 30th surrounded by her loving family. The beloved wife of the late Anthony F. Russo and Joseph Russo, she was ninety-six years of age.

Born, raised and educated in Jersey City, New Jersey, Angela was one of two sisters born to the late Peter A. and Jennie (Meluso) Cestaro.

Angela married her high school sweetheart Joseph Russo after graduating. In 1943, they made their new home in Woburn in the south end where they proudly raised their two sons. In 1964, Joseph sadly passed away unexpectedly and Angela proceeded onward raising her sons. She would, however, find love once again when she married her second husband Anthony just a few years after. Together they raised her third son while living on Boline Place.

While raising all three sons, Angela worked for a local company General Plasma which specialized in airplane and electrical maintenance. Angela’s position was a masker, coding airplane parts by hand. After proudly serving with General Plasma for over sixteen years, Angela previously worked for Madico as an office administrator for many years before her retirement.

Angela was known for her amazing crochet and sewing skills, making beautiful pieces for her family and friends. She was also very passionate about cooking and baking and loved making huge meals for everyone, especially around the holidays and special occasions.

Angela will always be remembered for her kindness, her caring ways and how thoughtful she was. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Angela’s children and grandchildren were the center of her life. She was very proud of her family and gave nothing but affection and cherished every moment she spent with them.

Sadly, in addition to her parents Peter and Jennie, and her late husbands Anthony and Joseph, Angela was predeceased by her son Peter A. Russo and her sister Margaret Barrington.

Angela is lovingly survived by her children Joseph S. Russo, his wife Darlene of West Chesterfield and Anthony F. Russo, his wife Mary of Billerica.
