Born in Winchester MA, Paula was one of four daughters to Paul and Helen (Mitchell) Ward. She was educated in Winchester and a graduate of Winchester High School.

Paula dedicated her life to caring for children - which was her true passion. For many years she worked for the After School Club in Woburn, and prior to that, for the BEDP program at Butler Elementary School in Belmont.

Paula was a loving and caring woman with a strong and devout faith. She was an active and longtime member of First Baptist Church in Winchester. Paula’s greatest moments however, were spending time with her family, especially playing games with her many nieces and nephews. She affectionately referred to her great nieces and nephews as her “Grandkids”. She also enjoyed taking long drives and vacations to New Hampshire, Cape Cod and Fort Foster in Kittery, Maine.
