MILDRED J. (JEWETT) SCARVALAS – of Woburn, December 16, at ninety-five years of age. Beloved wife of 70 years to Peter C. Scarvalas. Devoted mother of Christopher, his wife Lynne, Donna Malcolm, wife of the late William, all of Woburn and Gary Scarvalas of Dracut. Loving “Nana Mill” to Nicholas Scarvalas and wife Pamela, Kristen Scarvalas, Lauren Malcolm and fiancé Anthony, Billy Malcolm, Jason and Joseph Scarvalas. She was predeceased by her siblings, Ronald Jewett, Audrey Clarke, Florence Jewett and Kathleen King. OBITUARY

Mildred Jean (Jewett) Scarvalas, 95, of Woburn, died peacefully, Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Care One in Lexington, with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 70 years to Peter C. Scarvalas.

Born in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, Mildred was the daughter of the late Duncan and Celia “Annie” (Bursey) Jewett. She came to the United States with her family when she was five years old. She was educated in Chelsea and a graduate of Chelsea High School, class of 1940.

For many years she worked for RCA, where she made many lasting friendships. During the Holiday Season, she volunteered at various nursing homes, fundraising, wrapping gifts and organizing parties. Her Saturday’s were spent shopping and enjoying lunch with her daughter. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and making various crafts.

Mildred's family was her life and she dedicated and devoted her time to them. She was a wonderful, generous, kind and loving woman who will be dearly missed.

Along with her husband, Peter C. Scarvalas, Mildred was the devoted mother of Christopher, his wife Lynne, Donna Malcolm, wife of the late William, all of Woburn and Gary Scarvalas of Dracut. Loving “Nana Mill” to Nicholas Scarvalas and wife Pamela, Kristen Scarvalas, Lauren Malcolm and fiancé Anthony, Billy Malcolm, Jason and Joseph Scarvalas.
