Obituary of Paula A. (Fitzpatrick) Fallon

PAULA A. FALLON - of Woburn, October 25th. Beloved wife of 63 years to the late William H. Fallon. Devoted mother of David and wife Mary of Woburn, Stephen and wife Pat of Billerica, Ann-Louise O'Donnell and husband Richard of Derry NH, Bill and wife Lynn of Merrimack NH, Chris and wife Laura of Sunnyvale CA, Paul of Chelmsford, Lisa Cummings of Andover, Jane Fallon of Woburn, Mark and wife Dolores of Southborough, and Sean and his fiancée Wendy Moreau of Methuen. Loving grandmother of 18 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Barbara’s Church, Cambridge Road, Woburn on Tuesday, October 31st at 10 a.m. Family and friends are respectfully invited to calling hours at the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, Monday, October 30th from 4-8 p.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice in Paula’s name.

OBITUARY:

Paula A. Fallon, 91, died peacefully, Wednesday, October 25th at Care One in Wilmington. She was the beloved wife of 63 years to the late William "Bill" Fallon.

Born in Dorchester, MA on February 27, 1926, Paula was one of 7 children of the late Coleman and Agnes (Quinn) Fitzpatrick. Paula graduated from Dorchester High School in 1944, and received her Associates in Accounting from Bentley College in 1948, being one of the first females to graduate.

After her children started school, Paula began part-time work at the Winchester Tennis Club Day Care, where she happily took care of more children. In her later years, Paula went back to work full-time as a bookkeeper at CPS Direct in Woburn, MA.

Paula was a devout Catholic with a strong faith. She was a longtime communicant of the former Immaculate Conception Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Sodality for over 60 years. Paula was a member of the Women’s Bowling League of Woburn for over 50 years. She served as Treasurer, and was known for bringing a smile to every game.

She was a dedicated and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family always.

Paula is survived and will be deeply missed by her 10 children, David and wife Mary of Woburn, Stephen and wife Pat of Billerica, Ann-Louise O'Donnell and husband Richard of Derry NH, Bill and wife Lynn of Merrimack NH, Chris and wife Laura of Sunnyvale, CA, Paul of Chelmsford, Lisa Cummings of Andover, Jane Fallon of Woburn, Mark and wife Dolores of Southborough, and Sean and his fiancée Wendy Moreau of Methuen. Loving grandmother of 18 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Paula was predeceased by her siblings, Robert and Paul Fitzpatrick, Louise Archer, Gloria Kelly, Claire Piscopo and Jean Fitzpatrick.
