OBITUARY:

Carmella (Conte) Ferlisi passed away at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House, Wednesday, August second. The beloved wife of the late Anthony Ferlisi she was eighty six years of age.

Born in Sicily, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Tirito) Conte. Raised and educated in Sicily, she married the love of her life Anthony and in 1959, they came to America.

Making their home in Woburn, they brought two children into the world to whom she was devoted.

Cooking was just so very natural for Carmella, she could cook any dish and it truly was spectacular. All ingredients, home made or home grown in the tremendous garden she had in the back yard. Tomatoes, peppers, onions, lettuce, all sorts of herbs and a variety of other vegtables.

Over the years and as the children grew their family did too. “Nunu” welcomed her grandchildren with all the tenderness and love of a wonderfully dotting grandmother. NUNU had a wonderful relationship with them all and a very special relationship with each one individually.

Sadly, Carmella was predeceased by her dear huband Anthony, her parents and siblings, Connie and Biajio.

She is lovingly survived by her two children Vincent R. Ferlisi, his wife Lorrin and Virginia J. Butler, her husband Joseph all of Woburn. Dear sister of Ralph and Carl Conte both of Naples, Italy.
