ROBERT F. D'EON - in Woburn, July 30th. Beloved husband of Josephine C. (Giarrizzo) D'Eon. Cherished father of Robert J. D'Eon, his wife Carolann of CT and Paul F. D'Eon, his husband Lloyd Erickson of Woburn. Dear brother of Raymond D'Eon of NH, Marie Zampitella of Malden, Janet Morello of Revere and the late William "Billy", James, John D'Eon, Margaret "Peg" McNaught and Claire Bannon. Very special Granddaddy of Gregory D'Eon, his wife Joy of Somerville and Jacquelene D'Eon, her fiance Josh of CT. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Barbara's Church, 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn, Monday, August 7th at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to call from 8:30 - 10:45 prior to the Mass at Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn. At the family's request, in lieu of flowers rememberances may be made in Robert's honor to the American Lung Association, 460 Totten Pond Road, Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451.

OBITUARY:

Robert F. ďBobĒ DíEon passed away after a short illness, Sunday, July thirtieth with his cherished family by his side. The beloved husband of Josephine C. (Giarrizzo) DíEon, he was eighty six years of age.

Bob was born in Melrose, to the late Raymond A. and Margaret L (Lillian) DíEon. He was raised in Malden, graduated from Mt. Carmel High School and continued on with his education at the The College and Seminary of Our Lady of Angels in Lewiston, NY, where he graduated from.

Bob and Josephine were introduced to each other by mutual friends; a wonderful relationship developed and for over the last sixty years have been blissfully side by side.

In 1950 they married and made their home in Waltham for several years and in the late fifties, had a home built in Woburn, where they have remained .

Bob worked as a Plant Manager for Continental Can, where he retired from in 1986 at the age of fifty five. After his retirement he went into the consulting business which provided he and Josephine many wonderful opportunities for travel. Plane, train, ship or car, they utilized it all! Hawaii, Las Vegas, Canada, St. Marten, they had a ball!

Bobís family was his world. He was very devoted to his wife and sons. They were his world and if there was anything in this world he could do for them, so it be done! A very kind, thoughtful and generous man, Bob always put others before himself.

His home was his castle and a beautiful castle he kept. Inside and out, Bob tended to the his home and his yard meticulously . He provided a beautiful landscape around his home and had even built the stone wall surrounding his home. Never in Bobís life was there an idle minute, let alone moment! His grand children were a wonderful addition to his family, cherishing all the special times time and fun they would all have together.

Bob was a proud member of the Lexington Elks, which he helped found. Being a member for over fifty eight years, he had secured membership card number three!

A true gentleman throughout his lifetime Bobís legacy is full of love , great faith and family.

In addition to his parents Bob was predeceased by his siblings William "Billy", James, John D'Eon, Margaret "Peg" McNaught and Claire Bannon

He is lovingly survived by his dear wife Josephine C. (Giarrizzo) D'Eon, his children Robert J. D'Eon, his wife Carolann of CT and Paul F. D'Eon, his husband Lloyd Erickson of Woburn. Dear brother of Raymond D'Eon of NH, Marie Zampitella of Malden, Janet Morello of Revere.
