OBITUARY:

Adele R. (Raska) Brown passed away after a lingering illness at Lahey Clinic, Wednesday, May 24th, she was eighty eight years old.

Born in New York City Adele was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Raska. Adele was raised and educated in New York as were her two brothers and sisters.

Following high school, Adele began working as a secretary in the Empire State building, where she remained for several years.

In 1957 she moved to Woburn where she settled in the West Side and raised her six loving children. She dedicated herself to her children providing a very warm, happy and loving environment. She participated in all their academic and sporting activities and needless to say, she was kept extremely busy!

After all the children were in school she began working at Woburn Plumbing and Supply in downtown Woburn where she remained for close to fifteen years.

As her children were growing up, Adele was always in close range to her sewing machine! There she would put together, design and make beautiful outfits for her daughters and herself! Always with WJIB in the backround!

As the children grew, married and had children of their own “Grandma” arrived!

She absolutely loved her very near and dear grandchildren.

A woman of great faith, she was very active throughout the years at St. Barbara’s Parish. A loving, patient and kind mother, Adele always had her children’s best interest at heart, and all the love she shared amongst her family, unconditional.

Sadly, Adele was predeceased by her dear parents, her siblings Vilma Makowski, Albert and Edward Raska and beloved son Lawrence.

She is lovingly survived by her devoted children, Craig Brown of Woburn, Lorraine "Lori" Miele, her husband Robert of Woburn, Sandra "Sandy" Booth, her husband Joseph of NC, David Brown, his wife Nancy of NH, Cynthia "Cindy" Carey, her husband Paul of Woburn.
