OBITUARY:

Regina (Smith) Masters passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 21st . The beloved wife of Anthony Masters, she was seventy four years of age.

Born in the Jamaica Plain area of Boston, she was the daughter of the late John and Agnes Smith. Educated in Jamaica Plain she was a graduate of Jamaica Plain High School with the class of 1960.

Shortly after high school Regina and some of her friends decided they were headed out for a night of dancing. It was at the “Jamaica Lounge” she met her future husband. Anthony was playing the saxophone in the band that evening . This was the beginning of their life long journey, that brought three children into into the world and spanned over fifty five years.

Several years after they were married, Regina and Anthony decided to "get away" from the cold! It was off to California for a bit of time. Upon returning to the East Coast they chose to make Woburn their home, where they would remain for close to 55 years.

Regina and Anthony loved to travel together. Some of their travels included trips to Mexico, Aruba, Antigua, and of course, wonderful road trips to Florida with the children to see Disney World. The most favorite place over the years though was at their family beach house in Rockport. It was there that most of their summer time was spent with all family and friends over the years.

Regina was a very kind, generous, and giving, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose entire life was all about love and family.

Sadly, Regina was predeceased by her daughter Diane.

She is lovingly survived by her husband Anthony, her dear sons Joseph Masters and Robert Masters, his partner and friend of family Paula Paggio Zandbergh, both of Woburn, her loving grandchildren, Joseph, Julie, Alexandra and Anthony and great grandmother of Dante and Kaven. A Funeral will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Tuesday, March 28th at Noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to call at the Funeral Home, Monday evening 3-7 p.m. Please, in lieu of flowers, Regina's family wishes to have remembrances made in her memory to the, Woburn Little League, PO Box 140, Woburn, MA 01801.
