OBITUARY:

Marjorie (Pollard) "Lala" Waisnor a long time resident of Woburn and Reading passed away at her home with her lovingly devoted family right by her side. Beloved wife of the late William Waisnor, "Lala" had just turned ninety five.

Born in Woburn, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Agnes (Sheehan) Pollard. Raised and educated in Woburn, she was a graduate of Woburn High School along with the Class of 1940. After high school, she began working at Sears Dept Store in down town Woburn. Working in the tool department, she assisted a very handsome young gentleman. Right then and there, plans were made to go and share a coffee and that was the beginning or a relationship that spanned over the forty years, having married in 1942. Living in Woburn they brought three children into the world, a daughter and two sons. They were all pretty active as they were growing and Mother did not miss anything! Sports, academics, social events and church is where they spent alot of time. Summers were at Newfound Lake, where the entire family enjoyed very special times together.

As years went on "Lala" as she has been affectionately known since the arrival of grandchildren, took up a part time position at Reading Medical Associates, which she truly enjoyed. Along with the marriage of her children and becoming "Lala" to all, her beloved husband passed away. in 1981.

Shotly after that she moved to Reading to live with her daughter, where she nestled right in and shared over thirty truly wonderful years with her daughter Marcia, her husband Tim and their children. She was a part of everything that was happening in the household, in the schools, attending graduations, weddings, helped in evry way possible and always very quietly. She also would add much humor to any situation, often described as a "hoot!"

"Lala" was truly an inspiration to all that she met particularly her family. A short but very strong and feisty woman, her heart was honestly, bigger than she was! A woman of great faith, integrity and kindness, lived a wonderful life that was full of both family and lots and lots of love.

Sadly, Lala was predeceased by her parents, her husband Bill, son Paul Waisnor, and siblings Dorothy Emery and Charles Pollard.

She is the loving mother of William C. Waisnor, his wife Viki of S.C., Marsha M. Coakley, her husband Timothy L. of Reading. Cherished "Lala" of Timothy and Elizabeth, William, Daniel and Andre, Peter and Jonathan and great "Lala" of fifteen great grandchildren. A Funeral will be held in the Calvary Christian Church, 47 Grove Street, Lynnfield on Tuesday, February 21st at 10. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to calling hours at the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Monday, February 20th from 4-8p.m. Remembrances may be made in Marjorie's memory to My Brother's Table, 98 Willow Street, Lynn, MA 01901.
