Obituary of Katina Marie Ruzzo

KATINA MARIE RUZZO - in Burlington, January 27th at fifty-three years of age. Beloved daughter of Thomas and Theresa (Tuzzolo) Ruzzo of Ipswich. Loving sister of Katie Lohnes, her husband Paul, Maria Doherty, her husband John all of Chelmsford. Special aunt of Michael Calicchio, Thomas and Hannah Doherty. Also survived by numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins. A Funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, Wednesday, February 1st at 9a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Margaret Church, Winn Street, Burlington, at 10. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to calling hours, Tuesday evening,3-7 p.m.. Remembrances may be made in Katina’s honor to the Sisters of Notre Dame, 30 Jeffrey’s Neck Rd., Ipswich, Ma. 01938.

OBITUARY:

Katina Marie Ruzzo, passed away Friday, January 27th after a long battle. Katina was born in Boston to her proud parents, Thomas and Theresa (Tuzzolo) Ruzzo. Katina was raised in Burlington, where she graduated in the Class of 1981. An artistic, driven young woman, she had a zest for life and loved her family. Katina was a classic rock enthusiast. She knew every lyric and bit of trivia about her favorite rock bands. She attended many concerts in her time. Katina tried to experience the world all the time. She earned her Real Estate license, dabbling in the sale of homes. She also worked for Federal Express as a Marketing/ sales representative. Katina loved to cook for family and friends, and also enjoyed going out to dine. A true animal lover, Katina spent much time with favorite pets. Family always came first, with the holidays being a special time. She was a strong fighter but time took its toll on her and she moved on to a better place with no pain or suffering. May she have life eternal.
