Obituary of Patricia (Papageorge) Pantazis

PATRICIA (PAPAGEORGE) PANTAZIS in Woburn, January 16th at eighty five years of age. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Pantazis. Devoted sister of the late Bertha Besozzi, Claire Savas, Mary and Ethel Papageorge. Devoted Aunt of James Agis his late wife Mary of Grafton and Charles Savas his wife Ann of Woburn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to calling hours at the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Friday morning, January 27th from 9:45-10:45 a.m. followed by a Graveside Service at Woodbrook Cemetery, 100 Salem Street, Woburn. OBITUARY:

Patricia (Papageorge) Pantazis passed away at Sunrise Nursing Center, Monday, January 16th. The beloved wife of the late Thomas Pantazis, she was eighty five years of age.

Born in Cambridge she was one of five daughters born to Charles and Mary Papageorge. Raised and educated in Belmont she was a graduate of Belmont High School along with the Class of 1949. Following high school Patricia continued on with her education at Catherine Gibbs Secretarial School in Boston.

Shortly after, she met a wonderful young man named Tom Pantazis , to whom she married . They had made their home in San Antonio, Texas for a good number of years .

Upon moving back she and Tom always enjoyed travelling which they did throughout their marriage; and if there were any golf courses near, they would always play around! They enjoyed many wonderful friendships and golf outings at the Salem Country Club, where they had been members for years.

Patricia was a rather quiet woman, who enjoyed many of the simple pleasures throughout her lifetime. Although she did not have children of her own she had a very special relationship with her nephews, James and Charles, who over the years had been special blessings in Patricia’s life.

Patricia was also a very active member in the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Church here in Woburn over the years.

Sadly Patricia was predeceased by her husbanof fifty eight years,Tom, her parents, Charles and Mary and all of her siblings Bertha Besozzi, Claire Savas, Mary and Ethel Papageorge. Devoted Aunt of James Agis his late wife Mary of Grafton and Charles Savas his wife Ann of Woburn.

Patricia is lovingly survived by her nephews James Aegis, his late wife Mary of Grafton and Charles Savas, his wife Ann of Woburn.
