Obituary of Thomas A. Collins Jr.

THOMAS A. COLLINS JR, - of Seabrook, NH, January 18th at sixty-five years of age. Beloved husband of Diane (Daigneau) Collins. Loving father of Thomas J. Collins, his wife Melissa of Billerica, Michael J. Collins of Wareham, Annie Catherine Collins-Suazo, her husband Wellington of Revere. Devoted brother of Daniel Joseph Collins his wife Karen L. of Westford. Adoring “Gampy” to Analyce, Avah, Grace , Ashley, Shayne, Michael and Jordan. Special cousin to Pam Melaragni, also several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, Thursday ,January 26th at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to call at the Funeral Home from 9:00 - 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made in Tom's memory may be made to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Office of Development, 330 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.

OBITUARY:

Thomas H. “Tom” Collins Jr. passed away unexpectedly at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport , on Wednesday, January 18th. The beloved husband of Diane (Daigneau) Collins, he was sixty five years of age.

Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Thomas A. and Catherine F. Collins Sr.

Raised and educated in Somerville, Tom was a graduate of Somerville High School with the Class of 1971. For a while after high school Tom was involved in the construction industry and had learned the fine art of carpentry. The automotive industry was also another high interest of Tom’s so when he could, he would dabble in cars and motorcycles. Tom really enjoyed many happy years riding throughout New England.

In 1999 he married his long time sweetheart Diane, with whom he has enjoyed sharing his life with. Tom's children began families of their own and ”Pal” was what they loved to called him.

Throughout the years Tom truly enjoyed being by the ocean. The long walks, sand in his feet and the sun shining brightly, was always a wonderful day. He and Diane enjoyed travelling to Aruba for their vacations and every visit was just like the first---wonderful!. Enjoying the sun and listening to music, was always the most wonderful way for Tom relax and really enjoy himself.

Sadly, Tom is predeceased by his parents, Thomas Sr. and Catherine Collins. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Diane (Daigneau) Collins; his children, Thomas J. Collins, his wife Melissa of Billerica, Michael J. Collins of Wareham, Annie Catherine Collins-Suazo, her husband Wellington of Revere; his siblings, Daniel Joseph Collins, his wife Karen L. of Westford; his grandchildren, Analyce, Avah, Grace , Ashley, Shayne, Michael and Jordan; his cousin, Pam Melaragni; as well as several nieces and nephews.
