OBITUARY:

George P. Quinn passed away suddenly at the Winchester Hospital, after being stricken at his home early Wednesday morning, January 18th. The beloved husband of Carol Ann (McCrum) Quinn, he was sixty four years of age.

Born in Brighton, he was son of the late Bernard P. and Helen (Curwen) Quinn. They lived in Cambridge for a number of years, having moved later to Belmont, where George and the rest of his family were raised and educated. George graduated from Belmont High School with the Class of 1971 and had gone on to attend Bently College for a couple of years. George decided that he wanted to join the "working world," which he did. George went on to secure himself a position with Reece Corp in Quality Control where he remained for several years he later worked at General Electric.

During this time George had been out for an evening with friends dancing the night away in Boston. Later in the evening he introduced himself to a lovely lady, Carol Ann McCrum. Well, one year later they married ! They brought two great sons into the world and their family was complete.

In 1979 they nestled right in here in Woburn, where they raised and educated their children.

During the late eighties, George had decided he would like to start up a business on his own. Always desiring to be his own boss, he began Medical Supply Deliveries, and it took off! George delivered whatever kind of medical supplies needed to wherever they were needed to be delivered.

A hospital, doctor's offices, medical or health centers, either here in Boston , Rhose Island, Maine or New Hampshire, he was there every time .

Over the years with his family they vacationed each and every year. From Florida to Canada, Myrtle Beach and Washington DC to Jamestown, and Long Lake in Bridgton, ME. They all had wonderful memories. When it came to family, George always put them first! Holidays, celebrations, graduations and just to gather for a cook out or feast, it was done at their home. He thoroughly enjoyed being with family. Both sons were very active active in sports through out the years and George made sure he saw it all. Track, baseball, football, basketball and tennis, he taught, played and attended it all! Lilacs in the back yard! This was his "pet project" that he tended to throughout the years from their planting to now full growth and was very proud of their beauty.

A very fun loving , happy go lucky, thoughtful man, George was a man of his word. Strong convictions and most of the time with an opinion, but always with a persons best interest at heart.

Sadly George was pre deceased by his parents Bernard P. and Eleanor (Curwen) Quinn

George is lovingly survived by his wife of forty years Carol Ann (McCrum) Quinn , his children Michael P. Quinn, his wife Heather of Arlington and Steven T. Quinn, his wife Marianne of Woburn. Quinn, his wife Marion of Middleton. Cherished grandfather of Avery T., and Dylan R. Quinn. Loving brother in law of Cynthia Dorsey and Cathy McCrum both of ME.
